The city of Tokyo, Japan, is home to a multitude of art museums that exhibit a vast array of artistic creations. This article will present four of the most renowned museums in Tokyo.

Mori Art Museum
Mori Art Museum is an art museum located on the 53rd floor of the Mori Tower in Tokyo. This museum is a great place to visit if you are interested in learning about contemporary art trends from around the world. The Mori Tower is a tower in the center of Tokyo, and you can enjoy views of the city while viewing the exhibitions. This tower is also famous for being built by the Mori Group, a Japanese real estate company.

teamLab Planets
teamLab Planets is located in Koto city, and is recommended for visitors who prefer hands-on exhibitions. It is a place where you take off your shoes and socks to enter, and upon entering, you are greeted with a dark corridor. The exhibition begins as you walk through a space filled with water on the floor, which is then bathed in a variety of lights, revealing photographs of flowers. Light-diffusing decorations descend from the ceiling, and you walk through them to end the exhibition. The museum is renowned for its sensory experience.

Design Festa Gallery
Design Festa Gallery is located in Shibuya city and is an art museum that focuses on the work of young artists. The characteristic of this museum is that it does not feature the art of famous artists, but rather the work of young Japanese artists who are just starting out. Unlike other museums, entrance fee is free, and the artists are often on site to meet with visitors.

Nezu Museum
Nezu Museum is located in Minato city, and is recommended for visitors who are interested in Asian antiquities and Japanese gardens. This museum was founded in 1941 to showcase the collection of businessman Nezu Kaichiro, and was redesigned in 2009 by renowned architect Kengo Kuma. Nezu Museum is also home to the Nezu Garden and Nezu Cafe, where visitors can enjoy the vibrant greenery of nature in the Nezu Garden and the view outside the glass walls of the Nezu Cafe while enjoying drinks or brunches.
